Depends on why you moved, what you had, what you have now, do it do what you moved brands for. Only you can answer that.
I've never seen the need to move brands, if I've had limitations then I've worked around them or used them. Certainly within Nikon or Canon there are solutions that suit all situations, the only exception perhaps being Canons Macro MP-E 65.
For other situations, perhaps a small compact camera suits, just because of size or convenience. Sometimes it's a mobile phone.
For me its the image making, the equipment brand doesn't matter

Why are you thinking of moving?, if you only have a camera and kit lens it maybe worth the change. If you have a system and collection of lens you have to have a good reason to change, could be a costly exercise.

Nope I am not regretting it at all. I like the images it produce. I think it cos I been a canon man for years and i felt at home with canon. Nikon is a new home but I must admit I've had much more keepers with this camera I just don't know why thou maybe cos i suite me or it a better camera I just don't know.
Still thinking of a OMD too LOL so 2 cameras oops

Would have to be something really special to even make me think of changing. I'm Canon but I've always said that if I shot a lot of landscapes I would contemplate a D810 and run both brands side by side. But now with the Canon 5DS in the wings?????
I don't see anything in Nikons line up that would make me want to change and if I was a Nikon user I don't see anything in Canons line up that would make me want to change either.
We see lots of photographers saying this Nikon is better than that Canon and vice versa. For me if I am happy with the quantity and quality of the images I get I already have the best camera, whatever make it happens to be.

I went from a Canon 5D MKIII i wasn't too impress with it compare to my in laws think mine might of been funny but was too late with warranty..
I got a Nikon D750 and it produce much better images with it..
It lighter and smaller which is something I like too. I do have big hands but this suite me

Having watched the swings and roundabouts of camera technology development for many decades I have two problems with the brand shifting idea. The first is that for a given amount of image quality improvement it's always been possible to get more improvement for less money by buying a new lens compared to switching brands. But of course there's more than just image quality at stake.
The second and larger problem is that whatever criteria I've considered as justifying a brand switch to the superior brand are that it's a temporary switch. Because in a few to several years time those same criteria will justify me switching brands again. So realistically speaking I shouldn't think of switching brands, of selling off my old lenses etc., I should think of adding a brand, of keeping them both, using each for its virtues, and being protected against the next technology swing that will change the rankings again.
That's the point when I realise that this is just an adult resurgence of that same derangement that had me absolutely convinced as a teenager that I'd be able to write much better essays if only I had a really good top quality and ridiculously expensive fountain pen.

I have been through pretty much every brand and system on most levels more than once, its kind of a hobby for me I enjoy it, yes I have liked some brands more than others but at the end of the day all have produced the photos I want... sure I have wasted ££s but again I enjoy doing things this way and have no regrets on anything I have purchased or sold on or kept... probably shouldn't have sold the Sigma DP3m or the Fuji S5 Pro as looking back I adored them, but then not enough that I am desperate to get them back..

Agree 100% with this, short of Pentax, Nikon 1 and Canon M I think I've owned every current brand/system going in the past 5 years. I'm not chasing better image quality , AF, DR or anything else (otherwise frankly I would have called it quits at the Nikon D750, Sigma 35mm 1.4 and 105mm f2 DC), I just enjoy trying different gear. As you say, a hobby.
When I look back at 10 years worth of photos on my Flickr there is surprisingly little in it and I often have to look to see what a photo was taken with. I was particuarly taken aback looking at some motorsport shots, the difference between a Canon 100D and Tamron 70-300 (total price: £295) and D600 with Sigma 120-300mm 2.8 (£2k) is remarkably small in many circumstances.
It was an absolute joy to own a Sony RX1 for a few months, and I doubt I will ever better the Sony Zeiss 135mm 1.8 for outright 'wow' factor, no regrets.

Blimey, I want expecting that. I have a 5d mk3, heavily used (so much so the paints worn off) and find it stunning

Yup this D750 is producing much better images for me.
I had a few L Lens for the 5D and they were all bad as each other.
TODAY i have just notice a big blob on all images so the sensor dirty so I am writing to Harrsions regarding this as it not even 2 weeks old..

I run multiple systems and If I had just one bit of advice for people just starring out and trying to decide which system to go for it would be: Look for the best glass for whatever it is you want to shoot first and then spend the rest of your budget on something for it to live on.
Your 5D3 trouble might have been microadjustment if your inlaws seemed better than yours you couldve set it for all lenses rather by the one it might been a body rather than lens problem or blob mentioned may have been on the sensor ? All a bit late now i suppose 
The D750 looks a nice enough camera yet i sometimes do shoot wide open so the maximum 4000 shutter would be a nuisance to me as ive found on other cameras with 4000 shutter limit.. I know i could use a ND filter but id just prefer to have the faster shutter instead... Not slating Nikon i used to own a D90 back when it was released and found that and the lenses great at the time
moved onto the 5D2 from that and never went to any other DSLR brand since..
Ive had loads CSC brands though Olympus and Fujifilm being my favourites by far from CSC options

Well sensors get dusty when lenses are changed no matter how careful you are. You just need to get a sensor cleaning kit, take a deep breath and clean it yourself. It's not Harrison's fault!
