Just outta curiosity since I like America next top model and seems all photographers uses these cameras.

Anyone knows if they cost alot or any reviews?

WAS wonder what top photographers use and if they really cost an arm and a leg. Or if all the fuss about super expensive gear is just a myth

They're pretty good at what they're made for. Wouldn't be the best if you wanted to shoot ice hockey though.

Look at PhaseOne as well.

You could spend about 30 grand if you wanted, then you could start looking for a lens.

Older backs are coming down a lot in price though.

awwww found me the price. they make canon mk1s look like babies. cant even afford to dream about them hehe.

ah well guess I'll never have me a bunch of young models all sprawled infront of me while shooting them with that beauty

Presumably you're talking about digital versions? You can pick up high quality, good condition film versions for less than the cost of a 7D or 5DMK2, and you get that wonderful big neg and Carl Zeiss lenses.

LOL. mega expensive. You could buy a film version and the price of digital backs for those is slowly coming down.

cos they're sexy, seriously film is good for chicks and thats before any darkroing is mentioned.

I know a guy with a digi 'blad but he has to tell his insurance whenever it leaves the house :O

I've got a H3D-II 31MP at work. Great camera, with great IQ etc. But actually worth what it costs? I would possibly argue that one. Doubt I would buy one with my own money. I would rather spend the money on a 5x4 camera like a Linhof Technikardan and get a Flextight scanner. Longer slower workflow, but better IQ. If I was going all digital then I think I would go with a Nikon D3X for what I shoot.
