Having a go at Macro

I had an image in my mind, bought some pencils and got home.

Then I found I only had one desk lamp that I could use for lighting so I really struggled (I hand held this lamp while taking this shot). I'll hopefully pick up some other lights tomorrow and have another go but in the meantime here's my attempt for tonight, which I'm not happy with but I'm learning

Ahhh OK, I'll have to jump in a little closer tomorrow night... just need to think of something to take
