Having a problem with Nikon D200 pop-up flash

Looks like you may have the pop up flash set to Commander mode with a slow the slow mode also set.

Ah! I just remembered - I set it to Commander to test something.

No problem Scott, did the same thing with mine a few weeks ago!

And when you use the DoF preview button with the flash up, it fires the flash in a longish burst to act as a modelling light. I think that can be switched off in the menu but I no longer have a D200 (or manual) so can't tell you how.
