Hi Guys,

I need to ID one of my lowfly planes and I don't know where the markings are and worst of all the clock on my camera was wrong so I can't find them by timestamp.

This is the middle of the fb message I just got, and I really wanna help the guy as maybe he'll tell me stuff in future and ya know its nice to help the guy, loads of people gave me help.

This is a bit of a long shot but I had pax flight (back set ride) in a hawk jet (no 171) on the 27th of July and flew the Cad West route at approx 1500hrs. It would have just been a single jet not pairs. Were you there at this time ? If so, do you have any Hawk pics of 171? or know anyone that might have. If its any help, shortly after passing the second bank with photographers on we bounced up to 10,000 Ft in an almost vertical climb which you guys would have seen.

Hawk XX171 is a 208Sqn Jet. The xx171 number will be along the side of the plane at the rear and also on the tail. It'll look something like this....
