HDEW Camera's and VAT receipt

I was reading a thread the other day and someone mentioned getting a VAT receipt from HDEW camera's but for the life of me I cannot find it, I think it was in the 7D owners thread but its 30 pages long.

What i want to know is why did the person ask for this from them??

Unless you never unpack it and carry it around in the original packaging I doubt you would have a problem.

I've travelled in and out of the EU through multiple airports with camera gear, laptop, 2 or 3 mobile phones etc and have never been asked to produce a vat receipt.
