Hi all,


What a fantastic day... After my disappointment with my carriage racing shoot I was a lot more focused on what I was doing at this one and it worked - big time... :)

I got panning down to a T and I was really chuffed with my results. Out of 450 shots only about 40 were OOF and they were at the beginning of the day.

I had a hard time choosing a few to put up here so here are 6 shots and if you look at my flickr account (link in signature) you'll find 40 odd shots there.

Not a subject I've had much experience of but some seem to have better prop blur than others,#4&5 being my choice shots (y)

Martyn, I'm exactly the same having never shot an airshow before. I know what you mean regarding some having more blur than others, the props must have spun faster on some planes giving less of a blur. I stuck to around 1/160 & 1/200 sec for most of the shots.

Thanks Phil! The display of the two Wing dancers in shot 4 was awesome, got loads of them! :D
