Jesus Christ, I don't believe how stupid I am........

Somebody sent me a message on Facebook. It was a video which looked rather amusing (not porno!)
so I clicked it.
It told me I had to complete a quick security check before opening.

I had to click on the address bar, then press J then press CTRL+V and then press ENTER.

Then nothing happened. The video didn't work and just nothing happened.

Now I'm worried I've done something really stupid.

HELP

Your antivirus hasn't blocked it has it - hence why your not seeing anything ?

Facebook will without a doubt, be the death of the interwebz

was tongue in cheek and more so at the comment i edited rather than the original issue, but if you're offended i apologise

Fairenoughski.
I shouldn't have reacted like that so I also apologise.

I know looking back that what I done was an absolutely stupidly redicularse thing to do.
And I'm embarrassed enough without (thinking) that I'm getting laughed at.

Although I do deserve it :D

You should get a decent virus scan run on your computer as you'll have no idea what is now happening behind the scenes. Your antivirus may have ignored the problem because you chose to install something.

To virus scan it properly you'd need to get the hard drive out of your computer into another computer as a "Slave" drive. This should prevent any nasty software from disrupting any virus scan. I'd suggest getting in a professional at this point as they'll have the necessary tools to run a comprehensive scan.

Please don't hug me. :)

Might be worth running a Scan.

Some viruses/malware/adware/spyware can infect you if you simply click on things ( as i found out! )

:)
