I have an old zenit am camera with the above lens on it, is it compatible with any modern cameras?

you can get various mount adapters from ebay for other cameras.

I think this is the equivalent of the pentax k mount, think I read somewhere I can get an adapter for it to fit cannon eos digitals?? anyone know if this is true?

You can probably get it to fit most modern cameras.

Is it a K mount, or the original M42 screw? Is Zenit 'am' a typo?

zenit am is the name of the camera.
thanks for the link it seems it can fit a canon eos digital.

what type of photos would a 58mm 1;2 be used for ? sorry for the stupid questions but was going to throw the camera out tonight and decided to see if anything could be done with the lens.
