I have an Olympus E620, which takes me out and about, and which I love.
I have just bought, second hand, an E1, for which I need advice please. The seller assures me that there was no problem with the camera, yet every time I try to take an image, it takes over 3 seconds from pressing the shutter button to the image being captured. This happens on every setting of the camera, regardless of the shutter speed and lighting.
I am aware of the noise reduction effect, and everything is turned off: I have read the manual (to the best of my understanding!) and can find no reference to how to improve the shutter speed.
Looking inside the camera, the mirror seems to be in a raised position - is this likely to be the cause?
I am currently hugely disappointed with the camera, and if every image is going to take over three seconds, it is unusable.
Any advice will be very greatly appreciated.
