I own a Fujifilm S5700 which I have used for 2 years on various modes.

It's now time to get a Canon 450D, or thereabouts.

Ah right. Used to live in Linton. Nearly opposite the Square and Compass. Erm not too sure really. Depends what you like taking photos of I suppose.

Oh yeah, I know it well. Knew a few people down there when I used to live there.

Erm not too sure there are any good landscapes round Swad lol. I'd be more inclined to take a trip up the Peak District. Far better up there if landscapes are your thing.
