Hello everyone,

I'm a novice and have recently started a photography course at my local college. I have recently bought a Nikon D40, which is my first experience with a DSLR, and I'm having lots of fun experimenting with it.

I came upon this site when browsing the web, and you seem to be a friendly and helpful bunch of people.

Having viewed the standard of pictures that you post on here, I won't be putting any of my efforts on here for a while yet, but it's great looking through the site and learning lots.
