Recently got my 20D and Sigma 18-200 lens. Now, it's been a long time since I picked up a camera in anger other than a point and shoot and I need help!

I have mailed two clubs local to me (Essex) and await replies re joining, but I could do with either a course, or 1 on 1 tuition to get me started again.

I am interested in street/people/sports/animal photography.

Does anyone know where I could start looking? Essex or London is fine, (Not too expensive though!!)

Composition isn't too bad, but the basic technicals are evading me at the moment.

Great Lens you have there Nick! :thumbs:

I really must go look out my local club. They are only a couple miles away.

I live just outside of Brentwood. I have mailed Ingatestone and Chelmsford, but no replies as yet!

Hi Nick ..... It might be worth sticking a post up here on TP asking for a togging buddy or two in your area who wouldn't mind spending some time out and about with you & respective cameras to show you the basics and get you started.

People are generally very helpfull indeedy in this way :)

Im in the Brentwood area quite often..maybe we could meet up and take a few shots..:shrug:..im no expert,but willing to help if i can..:thumbs:

Hi Nick,

Find yourself a 'studybuddy' a fellow photographer with the same intrests, infact there is a thread somwhere on the site where forum members share their availibility and location.

The idea is that forum members can 'buddy up' to share skills.
