Hi - can anybody advise me what to do about the navigation button coming off the Canon grip on my 5D3. Local store can't do anything.

Has anybody had this repaired successfully?

Didn't think to bring the protective cover as the grip stays on the camera all the time... so taking the grip off to protect the exposed button will leave the grip's electronics exposed. I can do that tomorrow and Friday but it will have to go back on for the flight home.

I could put a plaster over the back of it and keep it on... The grip helps me a great deal due to shoulder injury... Hmm.

Any advice very welcome... It's 8 hours behind here, which makes it around 4am there.

Thanks

OBump... Anybody else had this happen? Did you get it fixed or buy a new one?

Well, fortunately Clifton do 2 year guarantees so I took it in last week and it will go to Canon to be repaired. I have another one from them to keep me going, 2nd hand, that they very kindly let me take away so that I could carry on using my camera with a grip. Fair play to them.
