Peeps,

Need some help. The following shows I got some dirt somewhere. Any ideas where it is? I have blown the sensor, not wet cleaned it yet. Lens looks clean, but I cant see too well :)

What do you think.

Right I now think it is inside my 100mm MACRO lens.

Any ideas where I can get it serviced?

It's not inside your lens. Dirt inside your lens would not be sharply defined like this. I've had a lump of chocolate the size of a big fat pea on the front of one of my lenses and all it did was produce a blurred area about an inch square on a 6x4 size pic. It's on your sensor. You need to look in to wet cleaning.

Are you sure? I got the stuff to wet clean the sensor. But I think I might be able to see the hair inside my lens. Im not too sure ***.

90% sure. Many lenses in use have dust, and yes, even hairs inside them. They produce no noticeable or significant image degradation. Maybe a bit of flare on the odd occasion. Perhaps you can see a hair in your lens, but it's not the one that's showing on the left side of the picture. Hairs this sharp are on the sensor. You will also have difficulty seeing one this small on the sensor too without good light and magnification.

Do a test. Take a picture of a blank white-ish surface with the offending lens. Then do the same with another lens and compare them. Don't compare with the example posted - dust etc does move. Like I said - 90% sure - but you never know.........

I forgot to add that you need to use a smallish aperture, say f16 or smaller, for best dust viewing results.

Well I went it for the wet clean. Seems much better now, not quite perfect, but better. Will try it again tomorrow. Had enough of clentching my bum while doing it :)
