Help - dropped my 5DII!

Hmm - the 5DII rolled out of my bag with the 135L - the 135L seems fine and there is little sign of damage on the camera (just a scratch on the grip) but the camera's meter is miles out - works ok on Live view but overexposes by about 4 stops in normal mode. What do you think might have happened?

When I dropped one of mine, there was no visible damage, but my focus points no longer lit up - so probably something has dislodged in yours the same as it did in mine.. I needed a new focus box I think it was - and cost all in £168 at Canon Elstree...

Before you sent it of might be worth giving it an full factory reset,you got nothing to lose

Has the camera got bracketing, maybe it's been switched on?

Hmm - done full reset, mirror and focussing screen seem fine - bit of a puzzle really!

When you did a reset did that clear the Custom Functions - when I first had my main camera the focussing dots were not coming up, I found firstly that focus assist had been disabled and don't know exactly what the other factor was, but I did a reset to clear the Custom Functions and it works fine since

Does this behaviour occur with every lens attached? My thought just being that your camera is in fact fine, but the lens is the culprit?

Have you also checked that exposure compensation hasn't been turned on accidentally? (would this also effect LiveView though?)

Thanks for all the suggestions - I think I'm on to the cause of the problem - there is a rattle from the area of the pentaprism and I suspect something is amiss there. This isn't used in live view so that would explain the exposure being fine then!
