Hi guys,
I was wondering if I could pick your brains for some advice please?
I am one of those annoying people who want to get a sports camera. Basically I want to record footage and set up timed photos (every 30 seconds etc) for use with biking/obstacle courses/snow boarding etc.
I have a budget of about £200 - 250. Are there any I should go for/avoid? The only name I know of is go pro as the brand is so famous.
Apologies if this isn't in the right section and if requests like these are annoying as I'm sure most of you have spent way more and are serious about your passion.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give :)

Go Pro.

And buy a 2nd hand one because there's plenty of good ones about.

Thanks Phil.
I'm assuming their good reputation is well deserved then. Read the reviews but thought I wold check. One more question (apologies for bothering you) is it worth spending a bitmore for the black edition over the silver? I understand the differences on paper, just not sure what that relates to in real life (is it worth the extra expense).
Thank you again for responding.

I'm no expert, sorry. You'll have to check the specs against your requirements :)

Gordon - I can't help with your questions, but... most of us started out on here knowing little and asking basic questions, so there is no need to apologize or feel like an idiot.
What we all share is an interest that can develop into a passion about capturing an image, and you want to do the same, so welcome to TP, and the slippery slope/learning curve/wallet-emptying experience that photography can be !

Despite being on here for many years, I am still perfectly capable of asking idiotic questions as I am sure many will agree......(not meaning to imply that your questions are idiotic BTW)
