HELP getting rid of shadows

Hope someone can help me.

I took some photos this morning against a cream wall and although I had my lights on i kept getting shadows behind my subject.

Could someone please help me as to where is best to position my lights ect.

any help or pointers greatly received.

The light source is too harsh and the shadow is exacerbated as your subject is too close to the background.

What are you using as a light source? Have you modified it in any way (reflected it off or through a brolly, softbox etc)?

Try bouncing the flash off the ceiling

No offence, but do you understand how shadows are created? As above, your subject is too close to the wall, the light source is overly harsh.

A flash bounced of the ceiling is another good technique.

and try and get the light source over the top of the lens rather than to one side
