Afternoon all

Got my camera back a couple of days back and took a photo at F32 before my sensor was cleaned and then after and i dont know how but it has somehow got more something that wasnt there previously on the sensor. Is it worth me going back to the shop and seeing what they say baring in mind i will cost me a fiver and dont really want to waste if he says sorry theres nothing we can do. They have done a good job but i dont understand how it would of got there, both taken at F32. At smaller appertures its not as visible but is still quite dark.

Before

After:

Many thanks Dex

Yes they have done a very good job given the state of the sensor in the first pic!

If you have a decent blower, perhaps try shift it yourself.

Failing that take it back.

If all else fails, accept that it is there and clone it out of your shots in pp.

F/32 isn't a usual aperture to use but such a large piece like that will show in most of your shots I would guess.

Thanks Asha, its does show but will give it a blast with my rocket blower and if that fails ill just clone it out. I dont understand though how it would of got there considering there wasnt nothing in that position in the before shot.

Wow that is a lot of dust in the first pic :)

I'm no expert in this area but when a sensor is cleaned the camera body is open to the elements so to speak albeit a controlled environment ( presumably!)
If they swab the sensor which collects/removes the original dirt, there will be other dirt particals in the vicinity of the sensor which, should they land on the sensor will show as a partical that wasn't there before.
Not explained very well I know ....maybe someone else more knowledgable can explain clearer...

Edit: If it's any consolation, I have a few "greasy" dots on my sensor which refuse to come off .....quite a pain at times as the fall on the sky in landscape shots ....I have little option but to clone them out in pp!
