Help. I clicked something!!!!!!!!!

Now every time I try to open something I have a box which asks Open With, ???????????

It's a little bit of a pain :shake:

Anybody know how to disable it

Many thanks in advance.

Steve

download malwarebytes and adaware, maybe even glary utilities and it might clear it off if its a virus.

More detail would help though.

Hi Steve

when you get the box up decide which program you want to open the said anything, and make sure the "Always Use This Program" Box is ticked

What did you click on? Do you have a virus? Are you experiencing any Malware symptoms?

What Operating System are you using?

Thanks guy's.

I'm using XP pro, not sure it's a virus, it started after I clicked yes to something I did not read :cuckoo: the open with box does not have the always use tick box highlighted so impossible to tick.

I can open stuff but it is becoming a real pain!!!

goto Pictures

right click on an image

'open with'....at the bottom it says 'choose default action

click 'always use the selected program for.....

Thanks, I have just downloaded and used malwarebytes, everything is back to normal, so a virus it was, great program

Once again, thanks guy's.

Could you post up the log from the MBAM scan? I know the problem seems resolved, but I would quite like to see the log to make sure it wasn't something more nasty.
