help in choosing the right camera

Hi there,
im quite new to photography and currently own a bog standard digital camera, i'm wanting to purchase a camera so i'm able to take fairy good images at football matches just as a hobby, doesnt need to be amazingly fancy just so is quite clear ...
now the bombshell small budget around £150...
seen some fujifilm cameras e.g. finepix s1600 would these be any good for what i'm wanting??
