Help - Lacie Rugged Problem

I have a Lacie rugged that doesn't work any more.

i set it up on windows Vista on my laptop, since then i have changed to windows xp and it wont recognise it. can any one help?

can you see it in disk management? (right click my computer, select manage, then go to disk management) if you can see it does it have a drive letter? if not right click and assign one.

It's on disk management but i cant assign a letter to it. it says gpt protective partition

did you format it in vista as a GPT or was it preformatted? id delete the partion and recreate as MBR.

any data already on the drive will be lost so back it up

Yeah it came preformatted. i would just format it but it's got about 40 images on it i cant loose. do you think it will work on a computer with vista on? and if so is there any way i can add a vista driver onto xp to get it to work?

XP 32 bit doesnt support GPT unfortunately.

if you can copy them off on a vista machine first maybe?

yeah need to try and find a computer on vista. is there no where i can mount it?
