Help Large format printers

Can anyone direct me to advice on large format prints
What is needed to run them ie software / computer etc

Depends on the specific printer as to connectivity options but you can run a large format like any other printer i.e. print direct from whatever software you want. Alternatively, you can use RIP software which will depend on what features you require. Perhaps you should state any requirements you have?

Its a Epson Stylus Pro 7000, I have read a little about RIP.but i have no software, printing direct from computer but need more control
Any help would be wonderful, Sites for download etc
