Bit of a shot in the dark, but does anyone in the Leeds area have a super wide angle lens they'd be prepared to loan me for a day next Monday? I need a bit more reach for a shoot. :)

I need to spread my reach wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide! ;)

What are you planning on shooting, and have you access to Nikon gear also?

Cheers Bradders.

I'm shooting a pilates studio. Thought my 18-50 would be wide enough, but it's only working from 22-50mm.

Unfortunately I only have Canon.

Where and what time is your shoot? Not sure I'd be happy shipping all my gear out, but if possible, I may be able to meet you and let you use the D700 and 14-24mm.

Cheers, Bradders.

If you could that would be bloody brilliant, if not then I still seriously appreciate your help. I've never used Nikon before, but it will only be for the wide angle interior shots - I can use my gear for everything else.

I've still got another guy to ask (beg!) as I know he has a 10-20mm usm, which would do the job.

The shoot is at 12noon here.

Cheers,
Dean

Well, I've got to go into the city centre at some point soon, to collect a couple of bits from Dale Photographic (some vouchers to use up) - so Monday at noon would be as good a time as any.

Let me know if it's a definate, and also if you need anything else bringing....not sure what, but I have an SB900 Speedlight that might come in handy.

As to showing how to use the gear, well I am a very simple amateur, but will do my best! It was all bought for work use, and I am simply hijacking it to learn the ropes!!
Will you be able to read the CF card on site?

Cheers, Bradders

Edited : Just realised, I have someone coming in on Monday to do training on a new piece of software we've bought. Sorry - total dufus! Might be able to send someone over though.....

Mark, you are a star and no mistake. When would you need to know by? I've not heard back from my friend yet.

Basically, as long as you can show me how to operate in manual we're good to go. I think I'll be ok with my speedlight. I'm not planning any tricky lighting shots as the ambient lighting will be far too tricky to balance. If you have a grey card that'd be handy and save me a trip into town tomorrow.

I don't have a cf card reader, but I can ask my firend who's assisting me to bring his laptop so we can transfer the files on site.

cheers,
Dean

Dean - apols - searching for someone to pop over now on Monday due to my dufus edit above. Hate promising and then not delivering. Will get back to you shortly.

Cheers, Mark

No worries, Mark. If you can it'd be greatly appreciated, but don't massively put yourself out, mate. I really appreciate the sentiment whether you can or can't.
Cheers,
Dean

Chaz, that's my other option. I'm hoping to suggest some more expansive or even panorama shots to the client. :)

Dean,
Have arranged a driver if you still end up stuck. Let me know if things change.
Cheers, Mark

I had to on one shot it was a bath room I had to try and get the tiling in the room and shower even getting in the door way there was no way of getting it all so I think I took 6 shots and stitched them in Photoshop looked good in the end another time was a bedroom for a holiday let there was so little room at the end of the bed I had to stitch four shots two top and two lower look good in the end. I also think there is less distortion this way

Well, I've got a 10-22mm now to use, but I still, time permitted, may stich some shots together.
