Hey guys,
Need some help finding some good photo locations not too far from the pudsey area in leeds. 15-20 mile radius. Somewhere to go on an evening or morning before work.
Looking for bridges, statues, wildlife, picturess views etc.

Any other locations in west yorkshire and east coast near bridlington, most welcome for the long days out.

cheers kirsty

There's Kirkstall Abbey, some nice views near Hunsworth Lane, and some nice architecture shots from Bradford City Park

Found these here: http://shothotspot.com/hotspots/?ne...pes=&months=&place=Pudsey,+United+Kingdom&kw=

Widening the search to West Yorkshire opens up your options a bit. You've got great views from Dovestone Reservoir, and lots of archiecture/statues in Leeds center

West Yorkshire: http://shothotspot.com/hotspots/?ne...pes=&place=West+Yorkshire,+United+Kingdom&kw=

Have a play with the keywords for your specific searches, e.g. bridges, statues.

What about Otley Chevin, Ilkley moor,

Hi, I live in Leeds and my regular haunts tend to be, Golden Acre park, Temple Newsome, Lotherton Hall (I park on the road outside), Bretton Sculpture park (bit further than 15-20miles but worth a visit if your over that way), I'm forever in Leeds city centre on walkabout, some excellent architecture if you look up, Clarence dock area is nice after dark when all lot up. Sandal Castle, kirkstall abbey, Bolton abbey, fountains abbey. Some very interesting little bridges along the LL canal in Leeds.
Further afield Bempton cliffs on the east coast (good for wildlife/sunrise), Hull offers some good photo opportunities (believe it or not :/) with the Humber bridge being one of them at night when lit up. There's a bridge that carries the M62 over a river on the way to hull that's meant to be very photogenic at dawn/dusk but I can't for the life of me think of the name of the area it at?!

Have fun. Rich

Sandal Castle near Wakefield is good for sunsets

Yorkshire Sculpture Park is a bit further south but certainly worth some time visiting

The canal side down at Rodley/Apperley Bridge is good for more urban/industrial

Tong village has a few landscape areas

Kirsty, have you heard of Rodley nature reserve? Only open on Weds and the weekend, but (usually) great bird shots.
