Help .... Manfrotto advice

Hi ... advice please. I need to place my order for a next day delivery in the next 2 hours and im in 2 minds to either get the Manfrotto 055XPROB or the 055CXPRO4. I know the obvious differences, but will the extra money be well spent on getting the PRO4. Will it be more solid than the XPROB?

Time is running out so any advice will be very much appreciated or it will be down to a toss of the old coin :lol:
 
The carbon fibre will be better at absorbing vibrations than aluminium legs, but you may find in high winds you'll want the heavier aluminium legs.
 
Coin landed on the carbon ... so should have it for the weekends playing !!

I guess my advice came a little late then, oh well. I've got the 055CX3, the only major differences being one fewer leg segments, and the lack of a articulating centre column. I'm sure you'll appreciate how light it is!

It did cross my mind about heavy winds, but there again even an ali leg tripod will move, so hoping the bag weighing it down should be sufficient.

I think the weight was the key factor in the decision along with the folded down size for transportation. Hopefully i wont be looking for another tripod for a good few years!
