Feel free to build your own, but all you need is one little slip and you can fry a £150 graphics card of score the copper tracks on a £100 motherboard.
youd have to be doing something properly stupid to score a motherboard. any by fry a graphics card i guess you mean static? ive worked on computers for 10-11 years now and never had an issue with static. if youre that worried buy a wrist strap (not that ive ever used one).
My pc will not be built/purchased in one go!! This is why I will do it myself.
I intend to buy the mobo, processor and aftermarket cooler for said processor and maybe even the ram this month then all the ancillaries the following months.. after christmas and my two boys birthdays in January this is bound to change slightly..
So you're going to buy the aforementioned bits now to complete it after January next year??? Apart from the previously mentioned point that by then you will be able to buy the same items for say, half the price, what if when you have assembled it you find some part of it doesn't work? You've said goodbye to your warranty period, or will have but a very short time left.
No, sorry I can see how that was a little bit confusing. I was referring to all the money spent over Christmas, past tense, and my sons birthdays both mid Jan. So hopefully I will have a fully working PC by the end of MARCH 2010..Now that sounds more like a normal person !![]()
