Help me choose a wide angle please!

Just a note of what I decided not to get...

Tokina 11-16 due to its very short range
Nikon 10-24 because of variable aparture and high distortion...

So another vote for the 12-24 f/4 here.

The difference in distortion between the 10 24 and the 12 24 in the overlapping range is negligible see here and here for the details, and lightroom fixes the distortion automatically for me.

Regarding the variable aperture, there is just a third of a stop difference between it and the 12 24 - and will you be shooting it wide open that often? The biggest difference between the lenses, imho, is how wide they go. And some gold paint....

Didn't mean to belittle the 10-24, it's just as I was looking on which to choose, I saw some horrible distorted architecture shots... and as not being a fan of pp that sort of shots, choice went for the 12-24.

As I always shoot on manual, I was getting a bit tired of correction shutter every time zooming in or out.

Also to like on the 12-24 is fixed length.

And the golden ring of course! :D
