Help me find a new camera

I'm looking for a second camera to accompany my Fuji X-E1.

I want a large, bright optical viewfinder and if possible an articulated screen. This camera will be used for landscapes and macro mainly. I don't mind an older camera and will sometimes print 36x24" from the files.

I have owned many cameras and currently am considering canon 5d mk1, canon 60d and Nikon d7000. Any other suggestions? Initial spend will be about £1000 but more available in a few months, will need a wide angle and macro within the budget.
 
Don't know a huge heap about the Canon cameras as I shoot Nikon so will restrict my views to that brand. The D7000 is an excellent camera but it does not have an articulated screen, for that you would need to get a D5100 or a D5200. The D7000 leans towards pro (i.e. has a focus motor and more external controls & focus point as well as weather sealing and dual card slots) the D5xxx leans consumer so no motor, less points and no weather sealing iirc. Do note that I said "leans" btw ;)

All of them are capable of producing excellent images though.
 
Me personaly being a canon man would be looking at the 5Dmk1 with a canon 100mm macro and possibly a 10-22 for the wide stuff. That lot second hand might take you slightly over your budget though.

Or a 50D with the same lens's, I have 100mm macro and its brilliant lens, and the canon 10-22 gets some great reveiws as well.
 
Thanks guys, might look at a 60d with 60 macro and a wideangle. Need to check the viewfinder size mainly...

The 10-22mm is a crop lens, so not suited to the 5D - or am I missing something?

Just what I was thinking. The 5D will be a good body for macro, I've got a 5D3 and 7D and prefer the FF body for macro by a lot, and the Canon 100mm macro will go really well with the body, I use the 100 L macro and it's fantastic.

As for wide angle on the 5D, the cheapest good option would probably be the 17-40 L, available S/H for around £400. It would take you over budget to get everything at once but it would give you some great shots.
