Help me spend a few pounds with Sigma

Afternoon all.

I have been noticing of late that I'm lacking something at the wide end and want to fill the gap.

I'm not in to ultra wide, so no fish eyes required.

When I shoot the kids running past, or sports, or some such thing i'd like something which will work on full frame or crop and give me the chance at some fun panning shots, among other things.

I'm interested in

35mm art 1.4
30mm art 1.4
16-35mm art 1.8

The 30mm is by far the cheapest, with the other two around the same price.

Anyone got experience with these and would you buy one again?

Oh and compared to something like a 24-105 which I already have do they focus quickly?

Body? No such lens as a 16-35 f1.4 either but i suspect you mean the 18-35mm f1.8... If you're shooting FF then only the 35 is a FF lens, the other two are aps-c.

Well that's sorted that out then I need them to be full frame capable.

Was just editing the 16-35, but you beat me to it.

The 35 is one of the sharpest lenses ever made. Gets rave reviews too.

I'd second what David said about the 35mm - unbelievably good performance and well built too. Check out the reviews about how well it stacks up to (and in some cases surpasses) Canons 35mm L series equivalent and you'll have your mind made up

Don't forget to treat yourself to a dock, the detail my 35mm picks up is amazing.

Already got a doc for my 120-300. Just need to remind myself how to use it

Pretty easy, you can set focus calibration at 4 distances. All self explanatory. May need a FW update aswell unless you bought new.

Lens arrived yesterday. Off to Chester for the weekend, so will give it a test run there.
