Hi, I'm looking to buy a new camera as the Sony DSC H9 finally gave up the ghost after 5 years reliable service.
I can't afford a DSLR at the moment. We would be looking to spend up to £250.
The camera would be for amateur use only, mainly wildlife and our dogs. So far I've never had a camera that has been able to freeze the dogs in motion and they're not often still!
I've been trawling the net but I've found it difficult to get the answer I need with my limited knowledge.
I have been considering a Nikon P500 since the price dropped to £229 as the P510 appeared. I like the idea of the x36 lens, accept that it may not be usable up to x36, I have a decent tripod.
Would the P500 be suitable or are there better options.
Your thoughts would be appreciated.
