I am looking to get 'something' for my D40 as it is my birthday soon, I have a budget of about £150 and I cannot decide what is best.
I would like an 18-200mm lens, however the Nikon is too expensive, even second hand. I have a 18-55mm so I could afford the 55-200mm, however I saw the Tamron 18-200mm is also within budget (roughly) but doesnt have vibration compensation. I also dont know if there is any quality difference between tamron and nikon lenses, which doesnt help!
To add to the confusion I am also considering a flash, maybe a second hand SB600 or a Metz af 48.
I want to make sure that I get something that I wont need to replace any time soon and wont cause trouble if I want to upgrade again!
Any help or advise would be most welcome and appreciated.
