So tempting but I think you should be honest. They may ask to see evidence of damage to any higher priced item.

You say "the only real damage" so if there's even small damage on the camera or 15mm then claim for them.

What did you trip on? Was it one of those nasty plastic thinggies that go round boxes and newspapers. People just like to peel them off rather than cut them, then some poor sod comes along and stands on it, it then flips up and catches your other foot which sends you flying. My sister had a paper round, the papers always came bound in those nasty boys and I fell a good few times on them.

Yes, it was one of them. If they'd dealt with it nearer the time, rather than passing me round to every department going, I'd have been happy to sort it out with less fuss. But it was totally their fault, and they've dragged it on for nearly 6 months. I can't say I care about driving THEIR insurance up, they've really wound me up.

You should care because it's the American culture of 'claim for everything you can' that's creeping in over here that's putting up all our insurance prices.

Evils things those! I tend to pick them up and tie them in a knot. Can you tell i'm still damaged from my childhood

The choice is not naughty or honest.
It is criminal or law abiding.

Fair enough, thanks for all your opinions.

Its not just THEIR insurance though is it! It drives everybodys up. How would you feel if someone tripped over your kit on a shoot and subsequently tried to sue you for more than their right.

It is dishonest, underhanded and illeagal.

Exactly. It effects us all.

Quite frankly, I think its pretty poor that you are even considering putting in a fraudulent claim.
