Hi,

My old D-Link G wireless modem router just died.

And... I have no idea which one to buy now.

I'm with TalkTalk (ADSL) and I will be looking for N or N+ standard.
Budget £60ish?

Is there any modem router you can recommend?

Thanks,

Seb

Due to quite a few failing routrers I'm sort of biased into suggesting a brand that as yet (after 5 years) has not failed me. I have had the following brands all fail (on more than one occasion mostly) D-Link, Netgear, Sagem. I am stuck with Sky's Sagem at the mo due to restrictions when not using 'their' router, but the prvious one that still works great is a Linksys. As these are the consumer arm of Cisco, as a routing product, I can't find any better.

On that logic, I would recommend a Linksys, and to meet ADSL 2+ and Wireless N, this should do the trick: http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/linksys-wag160n-wireless-n-adsl2-gateway-00939490-pdt.html

I have had 2 linksys both worked faultlessly for years (one office one home) I'd buy them again.

to be honest ive never had any brand router fail, other than cause by user error (the old linksys's used to erase their firmware if you rebooted them over and over again).

otherwise the linksys ones we used in our stores (WAG54G i think but thats an old model now) were fault free concidering they provided the connection for all retail outlets and polled sales/stock info back and forward 24/7, the only reason we got rid was an upgrade to Cisco units.
