Help! Nikon D90 or Nikon in general

I've lost the green viewfinder information that shows the shutter, exposure information etc. on my Nikon D90.

How do I get it back?

Did a quick Google and the problem comes up quite a lot.

I could not find any options in the menu on mine to turn them on or off.

Have you tried reseting the camera?

There is no menu option to turn it off as far as I know, so it'll probably be a broken screen (or however its displayed) or a broken connection.
It does turn off when the camera isnt metering however. Press the shutter half way, does it come on then?
