Hi all,

We went for a trip to Whipsnade zoo today and I took over 400 images. I've just gone to upload them to the PC and the computer can't find any files on the card. Other cards are working perfectly fine so i'm confident it's not the camera at fault.

Are all my images lost? Would appreciate any advice please :(

Can the camera itself see the images when you do an image review? If so, use the camera lead and upload them that way rather than directly from the card itself.

Did you get any errors while you were shooting?

Specialist file recovery software can probably retrieve them if plugging in the camera doesn't work.

Sorry, i should have been more specific.

When I go to do an image review on the camera, the images won't show up. However, if I fire off a couple more shots, then click the image review button all 400 images miraculously appear again

I don't have a card reader though, so i'm using the cable to (try to) upload them.

Thanks for taking the time to help:thumbs:

Hmm. I think you'll probably need to borrow a card reader and try with that. Sounds like the camera has mashed the file structure somehow.

oops didn't spot you were already connecting the camera to computer directly, good luck recovering them

Thanks all for the advice.

PsiFox I found Recuva last night, after trying about 6 other recovery programmes first, and it worked perfectly!

Happy happy happy!

Great news that you got your pics back.

.......now JUNK THE CARD!

You will never trust it again.
