Hi, I'm new to photography forums and have only just registered on this one. I would be very grateful for any member's help in tracking down my Sinar P2 large format camera, lenses and numerous accessories that were stolen on Monday, 1st June. From memory what was taken was:
Sinar P2 (everything assembled on a Calumet tripod, so front/rear standards, bellows, monorail, ground glass, 150mm lens, cable release etc)
Spare Schneider 150mm lens
Spare wide angle bellows
Spare monorail extensions
10 darkslides
Polaroid 54 back
Quickload back
All of these were in a Peli hard carry case
300mm lens in its own hard carry case
I live in Staffordshire (south) but everything may have been moved across the country by now.
If anyone is approached via the forum or any other website for a valuation or a sale, and if they are suspicious at all, I'd be grateful for any information. I have a strong feeling that the people to took them have no idea what they have. Ok, they'll know it's a camera but won't have a clue as to how it works or as to it's value so might visit photography forums to sound out someone who does.
I hope no-one's offended by my first use of the forum to ask for help, but I'm just so upset about the loss of my equipment and want to pursue all avenues to try and get it back.
I hope to be able to post more interesting/helpful messages in future.
Thank you.
