I have a Nikon D5000 with a Nikon 70-300VR, i am looking to go a bit further in zoom terms. I have been recommended 3 lens: Sigma 50-500 os Dg: Sigma 150-500 OS DG: Nikon AFS Nikkor 300mm f4d if-ed with a Nikon Teleconvertor Tc 14E11. Any body have any experience or recommendations of any of these lens or any other lens which would be suitable. I use the lens i have mainly for birds in flight and the odd static. All comments and advice very welcome.

As nobody has answered, though there have been a few similar threads in the past...
First, having longer primes, I don't have any of these.
Having said that, if it were me and I didn't have a really good reason to need the zoom, I'd go for the 300/4 an TC. The 300/4 is widely regarded as a great lens, apart from some moans about the tripod mount, and seems to work very well with the 1.4TC.
If you need something over 300mm, having 50- or 150- isn't going to help.
