I recently purchesed the above ( my first tripod ever) and no matter what I do I seem unable to prevent the head from wobbling. No matter what combination of tightening, untightening screwing I cant get the kind of stability i was expecting. I've tried tightening the knurled collar as it seems fairly logical that this would tighten up and hold the head tight and stable but with little effect.

Is it defective or do I not know what I'm doing....I tend to suspect the latter myself any help and advice most welcome

Are you using the right threaded screw on the tripod base? Usually you get two screws, a 1/4" with/and a 3/8" screw or adapter. The head may also come with thread adapter for 1/4 or 3/8. Maybe read the manual or see if there are instructions online at redsnapper?

I'd drop them an email or better still give them a ring. I had some trouble with a head I bought off them, Stuart got it sorted ASAP:thumbs:

thanks for the above. I tried taking it apart and reversing the screws etc and it seems a little better but I will drop them an e mail just to make sure I'm doing things correctly.
Thanks again
