I am quite good at fixing dead PCs but my missuses has me completely baffled

It has been reformatted (as per Toshiba says) then Vista reinstalled and works ok but the wireless adapter is switched on as per switch but comes up as disabled I have tried to enable it about 200 times but no luck so I thought maybe its like usb and dont like a usb item being installed before the software so I reinstalled Vista with the WAN turmed off and get the same result HELP:shrug:
 
Maybe telling you how to suck eggs but it maybe worth checking to see if there are updated drivers available. Maybe the ones on the Vista install disk are not suitable.You may have a second disk , supplied with the computer that has the required drivers.
