Yes
I'm doing some water droplets as we speak but I'm not really sure where I should be placing my flash, it is on a chord so can't be to far away.

Any help appreciated.

Tony

When Ive done water drops I had the flash on the right about 2ft away, my first attempts were with the on board flash which worked well, this was my first set up Heath Robinson Style  the plastic bag has a small hole pinprick in the bottom corner for the water to drip through, Hope that helps

Thanks Dave. Iv been doing it in my kitchen sink with no tripods and using the drip from the tap. Only issue I'm having is the flash as I don't know where to place it

Under the bowl I'm using?
Firing flash on top of the bowl?
Firing flash at the hoody I have as my background?

I don't have any photo's of my set up as I'm not as efficient as Dave  but when I've done it I have has the camera set up with the flash to the right of the camera at a 45 degree angle to the subject compared to the subject :)

Here's one of mine :)

Ok thanks will try it.

What settings did you use for your ones?

Settings are on the border of the drop shot at the bottom that John used, I used F11 ISO100, manual mode cant remember the shutter be something like 1/200sec though I would think

I'm loving some of these droplet shots. It's something I've never tried before but would like to give it a go now that I've seen the wonderful possibilities.

I particularly love the colours in Dave's initial post to this thread.
