Help please

I'm not sure how i am doing it but a few times recently i have somehow managed to change a setting which increases or decreases the brightness in the picture, i have looked in the menu when it happens and i have seen something called A E B and this has dashes under -1 and sometimes +1, i have tried to change it myself back to 0 but i couldnt and could only reset my camera to change it back to orriginal settings.

Your camera is set auto bracketing (Auto Exposure Bracketing), camera model will help to give further advice

Its auto exposure bracketing. It takes 3 shots, 1 under exposed, one correctly exposed and one over exposed. Without knowing what camera you are using I cant say how to switch it off though,

A canon 20d, ive tried googling it but as i werent sure whati was looking for i couldnt find it

I havent used the camera, but I would guess at going into the menu item and using the scroll wheel until there are no - or + figures showing.
