Help , problem with x100s

Just got a new x100s but everytime I take the battery out to charge it the camera resets to factory so when I put the battery in I have to setup date , time and all my custom settings . I have 3 Fujis and never had this problem before . Can anyone help ?
 
Could be internal battery gone, the one that powers date and time. Think it's a little round button type, at least that's what it was like on my old Canon.

If camera is new, internal battery for date time should not be dead yet. Has it actually got one in, and if so is it making proper contact ?
 
Sounds like it's probably faulty - return for replacement.
 
Thanks guys , it's got an internal battery but unlike other makes you can't replace it yourself as far as I'm aware
 
As Nod says, it's probably faulty. If it's new deffo get it changed.

As its a new camera, best not to try and fix it. Box it up in original wrapping, and get it back as soon as.

Yes think I will , problem being I only bought this for a trip to Barcelona on Sunday :-( hope I can get it sorted in a week

Take it back to the shop for a replacement.
 
Should be a simple swap with one that works then.
