Help requested with shadows

I am really pleased with the attached which I took last Sunday. However, ideally the shadow needs to be deleted from the little girl's face. Any advice would be welcomed. I am using CS3. Thank you.

Hi Gerard

You could try the Shadow/Highlight tool it does a fair job, I used it on this example with a bit of dodging and sharpening.
