HELP Required!

Can anyone recommend a zoom lens to go with a canon 500D, to be used for concert photography?
I'm runnning the camera with the 580ex ii speedlite.
Need a zoom lens as we could be some distance away from the stage.
All your help is most welcome

Canon 70-200mm

Flash is generally a big no-no at concerts.

A fast prime or zoom will be required to make best use of available light.

Most places won't let you use an SLR unless you have a press pass.

Thanks for your help, my budget wouldn't stretch to the 70-200mm zoom, too expensive.
The prime lens sounds good for close shots. This is the first concert i've been to take photos, i didn't know the in's and out's.
Thanks for the press pass advice too.
