we recently (as a street) managed to get planning permission refused for a house to be built on woodland at the end of our street.
have you thought about setting up one of those E petitions? If you get 100,000 signatures then the govt have got to look into it

Well congrats on that
I did similar this year when a local factory wanted to clear some scrubland to extend a car park, I mangaed to pursuade them to stop and wait untill the nesting season had finished. As for the E petition not really Summer, as all the info is there on the RSPB site for those that want to lobby their own MP about it.
