HELP!!!! SD Card not working

Just got back from a photo shoot to find out that when i insert my sd card into the camera i get a 'CHA' error. The card is NOT locked.
I have a lot of photos which i need for my photography exam on Monday.

Is there a fix to read the card?

Silly question but are these picture that you have taken from this photo shoot - as you mentioned that you have returned from a PS & then inserted your card.....

Have you tried the saving any pictures or inserted it into your PC yet to see if they would download or not?
 
Some kind soul on here may have a code for RescuePRO from an old Sandisk package! Just need to download the software!
 
I downloaded the Lexar Rescue pro version fom the web... That didn't need any code to recover any pic's...

I will have a look thru my doc's to see if I kept the download zip thingy whatducallit....

Have you tried to upload straight to your PC?
 
May sound silly but have another check on the card lock tab, incase you may have locked it beforeinserting it in to your pc....

If the worse comes to the worst the only way I can say is to format the card either in camera or pc then use the rescue pro again & pray that it can recover the pictures...
 
What are you using to read the disk? A card reader or straight into laptop slot?
 
Hi, a few have you trieds ??

Can you see the pictures on the cameras lcd screen ?

Have you tried connecting the camera to PC and downloading that way?

Have you tried shutting down (shut down, not click restart) the pc and starting again - does it see the card ?
 
Does the PC recognise the card reader without the card? If so, try putting the card in and see what you get. If it doesn't recognise it, then it sounds like the card is corrupted/been damaged!
