Hi all.

I have bought one of these...

My problem is, my Canon EOS 1100D doesn't have a PC sync socket, so, won't this item work with my camera or is there a way to sort it out so it does work ?

I basically want to make use of studio flashes, I have access to two Bowens GM500's, but, unless I use the pop up flash, there is no way for me to fire the studio lights.

It has to be a cheap method as I cannot afford something expensive, any suggestions ?

Would THIS do to the job ?.....

slot the transmitter onto you 1100D hot shoe and plug a receiver into each of the flash heads, make sure they are all set for the same channel, and away you go.

Dont I need the PC sync cable to be plugged into the camera though ?

The Canon EOS 1100D has no PC sync socket.

No, it gets it signal from the hot shoe centre pin.

Have you tried it yet ?

Not yet, will have to wait till next week, the lights are where i volunteer at.

But you can fit it to the camera and see it the receivers are getting the signal, and the receive light is activated.
