For possibly the 2nd/3rd time I find my self sat here with a like new F1.8 and a brand new F1.4 and I am torn between them! Don't know which to keep :(

I've read the reviews, specs, seen the differences. But wanted to see what my fellow togs say!
 
Do a series of test shots, then youll soon find out which you favour, simplz

Try shooting at 50mm for a few days and see if you can get used to the focal length first. I'm a Sony user and bought the Minolta 50mm f1.7 and now I want the Sony 50mm f1.4 so I'd say get the f1.4 version if you can afford it.
 
I'd keep the 1.8 and sell the 1.4 to me for a ridiculously low price ;)
 
If you can afford it, keep the 1.4. You can never have enough light in some cases, plus the bonus of an almost certainly better build quality.

The cost just goes up and up though, I know the Sigma is very popular though! The 50mm 1.2L's competitor, might stick with the 1.8 till I find a well priced Sigma :D
