Help with a compact

My dad has asked me to look for a camera for him. He had a look at a Fujifilm FinePix S400. He wants to spend around the £200 mark. he want to go to that style of camera and he needs a view finder as he has trouble like most of us with a lcd screen in bright light. Could people help me with reccomendations please as I dont really know much about compact camera's.

Sorry can't suggest any particular camera, but have a look at a few photo mags.

Most have a mini review section that covers lots of cameras of different types.

These could be useful to get an idea of what is liked currently, then try for some in depth reviews of a few selected models.

The only 2 compacts with a viewfinder at the moment are Canon G12 (over budget), and Canon A1200, about 80 quid from Jessops. http://www.jessops.com/online.store/products/80065/show.html
